Samsung Galaxy Tab: All in one Entertainment Device

Electronic devices have slowly gone through an evolution over time that has sought to bring out every bit of functionality from them, by making them multifunctional from every possible angle. Portable devices like computer tabletswere originally designed to be smaller more portable versions of computer laptops, but have now taken on bigger roles over time, like gaming, eBooks reading and full multimedia support.

Samsung has a good selection of mobile devices that are designed to provide such services, like the Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Phones,  etc. One of the best computer tablets in the market today is the Samsung Galaxy Tab; a no compromise mobile portable PC that offers great performance, features and appealing aesthetics to go with it.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is powered by a 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 dual core processor, 512MB of RAM. Internal storage amounts to 16/32 GB, depending on the model. It has an Android operating system. This Tablet PC is designed to support a whole range of multimedia applications on its TFT capacitive touchscreen display. There are two versions of the Galaxy Tab available on the market: a 7inch and a 10.1inch. Differences between these models are not limited on a superficial level, but go all the way”under their skin”. The 7inch version is somewhat thicker, but yet lighter than the 10.1inch model. Specific details are 12 mm in thickness and 14 ounces in weight for the 7inch Galaxy Tab, whereas the 10.1inch model measures 10.9mm and weighs 20 ounces.

To support multimedia functions like play videos games and browse websites, the Galaxy Tab has inbuilt adobe flash Technology Support. It has front and rear facing cameras for taking photos and online chatting. The 7inch has a 1024 × 600 resolution display, whereas the 10.1 inch version has a 1280 × 800 resolution display. Both models support full HD video play back, and thanks to its long battery life, can play movies for up to 7 hours. If you want to play your movies on your television set instead, the Galaxy Tab is equipped with TV out functionality. For those who are a bit artistic and would like to push their tab to the limit, you can use its Image/video editor to work on your collection of private videos and images. Users can also view their favorite movies or TV shows on the Galaxy Tab, through an innovative application called Media Hub.
